Unpopular Opinions
In today’s digital age, media platforms have become the battlegrounds for public opinion, shaping and often distorting our views on culture, politics, and identity. Unpopular Opinions set out to explore these complex dynamics, offering a space for reflection and dialogue on how our everyday interactions online influence our perceptions in the real world.
For the second consecutive year, Pylot collaborated with the Blanc space to curate this exhibition, featuring four artists: Ally Yanxiu Luo, Lingxue (Luna) Hao, Sherly Fan, and Rosie Kim. Through mediums including paintings, sculptures, and digital installations, these artists bravely explored their own unpopular opinions, challenging audiences to reconsider their perspectives. Our open call attracted significant interest, and we selected a smaller, focused group of artists. This approach allowed each artist to showcase a more extended body of work, offering visitors a deeper and more immersive experience. The exhibit was on view for a week, captivating audiences with its thought-provoking content
